Q. I’ve taken e-courses before. Are your courses similar to other e-courses?
A. No. Our courses are much more than regular e-courses. Through Rich Media Instruction (RMI), we offer a learning experience which many leading experts in the field of education believe is superior to that of the conventional classroom.
Q. Are your teachers accredited?
A. All of our teachers posses advanced levels of academic accreditation and teaching experience. Their passion for teaching and openness to innovative educational technologies has brought them to partner with Everest Learning Center.
Q. Who determines your curriculum for accredited courses?
A. In Canada, the Ministry of Education issues curricula and sets graduation requirements. Our expert team in curriculum design ensures that our courses meet and exceed the Ministry’s guidelines.
Q. How do I sign up for a course with Everest Learning Center?
A. Simply fill out our enrollment form online, and an education representative will contact you. It’s that simple.
Q. Are online courses easier than regular courses?
A. A difference you may find when taking our RMI courses is that they are much more engaging than your conventional classroom. Our students find their intellectual curiosity increasing which is a key component to achieve deep and durable learning. Our courses can be more challenging and engaging, and students are encouraged learn at their own pace.
Q. Isn’t there less interaction with online courses?
A. No. That is the number one myth about online courses. Our RMI courses provide more interaction than what is possible in a conventional classroom. Student-teacher and student-student interaction is facilitated through various interaction tools. Greater collaboration, instruction, connection and communication can be achieved through our RMI platform. As a whole, technology has brought us greater interaction, not less. Today we communicate with a larger network than ever before in the history of man. The same is true for our RMI platform.
Q. Do students who take your courses feel isolated?
A. No. That is a popular myth. Students often feel more engaged and part of a greater community. There can be more interaction both online and offline with our courses, as students form workgroups and collaborate on projects.
Q. Can you effectively teach online?
A. Absolutely! In fact, many experts believe that RMI provides a superior learning environment than the traditional classroom. Customization according to learning styles and needs, high interaction, and increased intellectual curiosity all contribute to deep and durable learning, which can be better delivered through RMI.
Q. Isn’t it easier to cheat in an online course? A. No. Cheating can occur in conventional classrooms and online courses; however, we utilize our technology to deter and detect cheating. Our teachers also play a big part in getting to know the students and following their work and progression. Increased interaction with our students decreases the likelihood of cheating.
