Sally Hooper – VP of Education, Head of Curriculum Design
Sally is a dedicated educator with international experience. Throughout her illustrious career, Sally has been a principal, vice principal, university instructor, education director, teacher, department head, and member of boards of educational organizations. Sally brings educational experience from various parts of the world including South Africa, Australia, Africa, and Canada. Sally also offers a unique leadership experience having been a key member in the development and growth of holistic education platforms. Sally oversees the delivery of our educational platform.
Diane Zorn – Academic Advisor, Curriculum Design
Diane is a Course Director at York University’s School of Arts and Letters and School of Administrative Studies. She is currently Course Coordinator for Applied Business Ethics at York’s Schulich School of Business. Accounts of her pedagogy, course design and use of teaching technologies have been reported on CBC Radio, CTV News, Toronto Sun, 680 News Radio and in other media. She has been awarded York’s University-Wide Teaching Award for Teaching Excellence 2007 and the United States Distance Learning Association 2008 Silver Award for Excellence in Distance Learning Teaching. She has nominations for the Ontario Council of Universities 2006 Teaching with Technology Award, and the Atkinson Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching 2008 and 2009.
Kelly Parke – Technical Team
Kelly Parke has worked in both the education and media sectors for over 20 years. In broadcast television, he has worked as a television producer and cameraman throughout the world and is currently assigned to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. His clients include CBC, CTV, ABC, NBC, ESPN, FOX, SKY(Europe) TSN and Sportsnet.
In addition to broadcast media industry, Kelly brings expertise in the design and integration of rich-media applications for use in post-secondary education.
Kelly’s expertise is recognized by both industry and the academic community. While based at York University, he continues to consult with many educational institutions and governments, and has presented at the leading educational technology conferences around the world. He is regularly involved in the beta testing of software and hardware solutions in the field of streaming media for some of the leading companies in the sector. In addition, he has served as a fan experience consultant for Bruce Mau Designs on the new NY Giants/NY Jets stadium.
Jeff Adams – Teacher, Math and Sciences
Jeff Adams received his Masters of Science and Bachelor of Science (Honours) at the University of Guelph. He then received his Teaching Degree from D'Youville College after teaching and being involved in different research studies at the University of Guelph. In the summer months Jeff teaches Grade 11 and 12 Biology throughout Ecuador and the Galapagos. He is currently involved as a coach for the FIRST Lego League (FLL) and FIRST Robot Challenge (FRC) and believes the link between technology and education is key for students to remain engaged in the curriculum and to develop necessary 21st Century Skills.
